Scott Oliver - Principal, Treadwell Gordon

Scott Oliver

Principal

Mobile:

In one word “Simplicity”.

After growing up in Wellington and studying at Victoria University, Scott took the plunge into the provinces. Prior to joining Treadwell Gordon, Scott spent eleven years in litigation practice in the Rangitikei town of Marton. There he practiced predominantly in the areas of family and criminal law, while also gaining experience from the variety of a general practice. Marton's proximity to major highways also exposed Scott to more than his fair share of traffic related matters. Scott is currently the rural committee member of the Whanganui branch of the New Zealand Law Society.

Scott's current practice focuses on the firm's Family Court and Criminal Court matters in Whanganui, Marton, Taihape and Ohakune. Scott enjoys simplifying matters for clients in what can often be daunting and difficult times.

Outside of legal practice, Scott is a keen cricketer and has recently gained qualifications as an umpire. Scott lives in Marton with his family where they take advantage of the outdoor lifestyle afforded by country living.

Key practice areas:

  • Civil litigation
  • Criminal litigation
  • Family court
  • Traffic offences
  • Relationship property
