Richard is Whanganui born and bred. He has been with Treadwell Gordon since 1986. He is a trusted advisor for a wide range of rural, commercial and private clients. Richard has been instrumental in the growth and direction of Treadwell Gordon.
During his career Richard has encountered the full range of legal issues and is able to advise on everything from company restructuring, to asset planning and police prosecutions. Richard has many networks, and offers opportunities for clients to go beyond day-to-day lawyering.
Richard is as much at home in the shearing shed as he is at the board table. He has strong relationships throughout the local community.
Richard and his wife Rosie love the Whanganui lifestyle. They have farming interests with “a few good sheep and cattle” but even better scenic views! They grow the best pears in New Zealand (and he has been seen in Farmer’s markets selling them!). Richard and his family have been active in national rowing circles. Richard still fits his cycle shorts, but is more likely to be seen with a fly rod in his hands.
