Jim came from sole practice in Waverley, where he began to practice in 1970 with his father. He was district coroner for the area and has been a popular funeral celebrant.
Jim’s practice in Waverley was fairly general, but with a rural bend. His clients often spanned generations of the same family. Jim became a rural law specialist which includes implementing structures for long term asset management.
Jim was a long standard member of the Whanganui Standards Committee and is an oracle on matters of ethics. He serviced on the District Law Society’s Council and is a past president.
Now Jim specialises in attending to the majority of the Company’s compliance matters such as dealings ensuring a seamless registration of new titles when there is a change of ownership.
Jim is a keen duck shooter alongside his wife Dale and they have both enjoyed clay target shooting out of season. Jim and Dale have spread their wings and are frequent travellers on and off the beaten track.
Jim takes pride in having been a practising lawyer for more than 50 years.
