Richard has a strong commercial background and practices in general commercial law, particularly business law, company law, farming and property law (including Trusts and conveyancing).
Richard is a director of a number of local businesses and maintains a high community profile. He is also a long standing member of the Whanganui College Board of Trustees which administers Wanganui Collegiate and St Georges Preparatory Schools.
Richard is married to Rosie and they have three daughters. He has had a lengthy involvement with the Wanganui Rowing Association and continues to coach school crews. He also owns and operates interests in pear orcharding.
