Garry grew up in Whanganui, and started working at Treadwell Gordon in 1970.
His main practice is family law; in particular, relationship property, family protection, wills and trusts.
Garry was acting Counsel in the Bristol case, which brought about a Royal Commission into domestic violence and domestic violence legislation.
Garry has always been very involved in the local sporting community. He was Chairman of Sport Whanganui for ten years. He represented Whanganui in both cricket and rugby, and was captain of the Whanganui Kaierau club during it’s years of local domination.
Garry is a New Zealand Cricket Code of Conduct commissioner, trustee of many community and private trusts, and a member of the Tongariro Masonic Lodge. He is a respected member of the legal profession as well as a popular local character.
